A teen was killed after a gun battle broke out at a New York baby shower hosted by US actor Jamie Hector, who plays cold-blooded drug lord Marlo Stanfield in TV drama The Wire.
Almost 50 bullets were fired outside Hector's Brooklyn party on Sunday, killing 17-year-old Linton Williams and injuring two others, the New York Daily News said.
In a scene resembling something from Hector's gritty TV drama, one of the gunmen then followed one of the injured men - Andrew Filson - to hospital and shot him at least once, the Daily News said.
"What a gun battle," a police source told the Daily News. "They have been watching too much TV."
A neighbour, Lisa Bruce, described seeing a victim hiding in the bushes and covered in blood.
Hector, who plays the ruthless drug lord Marlo Stanfield, was believed to have been at the baby shower for some time but it was not known if he was present when the gunfire erupted, the Daily News said.
The 33-year-old had thrown the party to celebrate his wife's pregnancy, local media reported.
Police found two guns but no arrests have been made.
The Wire is known for its brutally realistic depiction of street crime in Baltimore.
