Kiwi acts set US Billboard charts afire
Wellington musical comedy duo Flight of the Conchords and Hamilton reggae band Katchafire have set the American Billboard charts alight.
Flight of the Conchords, starring comedians Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie, have the top-selling comedy album in the United States.
Their EP The Distant Future is No. 1 on Billboard's top comedy albums chart this week, following their series for American television which ended its 12-part run on HBO early this month and is screening now in New Zealand.
Katchafire's new album, Say What You're Thinking, is No 6 on Billboard's top reggae albums chart – sandwiched between Jewish reggae singer Matisyahu at No 5 and Bob Marley and the Wailers' Roots Rock at No 7.
It is No 6 for a second week in a row after entering the charts four weeks ago. In New Zealand it got as high as No 5.
