Fashion model Jayde Nicole has been crowned Playboy's Playmate of the Year for 2008.

The 22-year-old dark-haired beauty received a 2008 Cadillac CTS from Playboy founder Hugh Hefner at a party announcing her win.

Nicole, a Canadian resident who was Playboy's Pet of the Month in the magazine's January 2007 edition, began modelling as a child but gave it up age 11.

She was rediscovered by a Toronto modelling agent while leaving a concert.

She owns her own modelling agency in Port Perry, called A Touch of Class. 

On Playboy's website, she lists her turn-ons being: "Intelligence, honesty, politeness, hopeless romantics and someone who is really into music. And nice eyes help."

Her turn-offs include: "Liars, rude people, arrogance, people who are fake, bad hygiene and anyone who is mean to animals."
