It's so sad and disappointing Christina couldn't perform! However, there have been rumours (espiecally on the gossip blogs) that Christina left straight from Melbourne and went to LA and never came to New Zealand. Apparently she was seen arriving at LAX. If this was the case why did it take so long for the promoters to cancel the concert! The poor girl is obviously not up to performing why did they have to wait until three hours before the concert started?
-Lei lei

Who does Christina think she is? What happened on Thursday three hours before her concert was so inconsiderate! For those of us travelling long distances, booking hotels and such was a waste of time and money. Getting refunds for the tickets, fine ... but what about travel and accommodation reimbursements - if you had only known. If she had just told us the day before it would have saved a lot of hassle! For you guys going on about how she's pregnant and poor health - give me a break. I believe she shouldn't have come here in the first place. I'm glad she cancelled Friday too, it was fair on all the diehard fans who had booked the original Thursday concert, why should they miss out when the Friday concert was only put on because of the overwhelming response.
-Sonya

Christina Aguilera didnt find out till two hours before the show that she was pregnant and had a flu virus. She should have cancelled earlier.
-Charlotte

Please can everyone stop complaining about Christina Aguilera not coming to NZ?! I was meant to go to the show, and I was gutted when she cancelled, but it's not her fault that she got sick. Her first priority should be the health of her and her baby. I still think she's fabulous and I really hope she comes back so I can go and see her.
-Ella

How the hell is it her fault? She's from what we know at least three months up duffer. She can't have bloody injections can she? The poor woman has done 79 tours in a row, how many of you could even do that? We're all ill and things have to be cancelled, get the chuff on YouTube and watch the videos yourself. She's helped so many people around the world, and two chuffing tour dates, god get over it. I went to see her and she was absolutely amazing, and if she'd not given her 100 per cent all, the show would have been nothing without her. So how about you stop complaining? Buy her chuffing album, and listen to the songs on there, and learn your own dance movements. Chuff sakes, the poor woman's with baby, she hardly wants to risk it to satisfy some stupid idiots like you. You're getting refunded - what the hell is your problem?

It's stupid that fans are angry at Christina Aguilera for cancelling her shows, the woman was ill & tried to go on with her NZ shows but couldn't. There is no need to get angry at her when she tried, the set was set-up but she just couldn't go on. It seems people forget the fact she tried though, they would rather complain about her cancelling. People can be so selfish.
-Jade Nellist

No one will dispute the fact that Christina was sick, I'm sure all of her fans will be very understanding to that. What was so poor was that she cancelled Thursday night's show only three hours before it was to kick off. People spent hundreds of dollars to get to Auckland to see this concert and were totally let down. If we had known three days earlier that she had cancelled I'm sure we would have been able to get most of our money back for all costs incurred. That is the problem and I believe that is why everyone is so angry.
-Kristin Hutchings

I am appalled! Any real fan of Christina would understand what it must be like to do show after show, being pregnant and on top of this she had caught a virus! Could you do what she does when you are at your sickest? I totally understand how she would have felt, and to cancel a show, Christina must have been very ill. Although some fans are angry, their tickets have been refunded, so to slam Christina for being bed ridden, for their mere inconvenience, is totally unreasonable.
-Lisa Poor

Cameron Collings, you should shut up, Christina Aguilera lip-synching? Umm, have you not heard her amazing voice before? I'd like to see you try to match a hundreth of her talent you tone-deaf fool. And I'm sure Christina was upset more than anyone about the cancellation of her concerts. I'm sad I couldn't see her as I was looking forward to it for months but I don't hold it against her, and if she is pregnant, I wish her all the best.
-Jasmine

I hope all the fans are understanding as the flu strain that hit eastern Australia has put many people in bed. I happened to get it and had to spend four days in bed with coughing that continued for two weeks. There is no way she could have performed. It's just a shame it was short notice for people who had to travel.
-Teresa

Cancelled only hours before start time! She was made well aware of her health in Aussie, then why lie to NZ that she'll miraculously recover from this dreadful thing doctors diagnosed? If she's going to break the promise she made to perform in Auckland, she should have had allowed ample time for fans to cancel as well to minimise financial distress.
-Chris Lelenoa

It sucks that Christina was sick, and I understand that she wanted to perform, although if she and her crew knew that she was still feeling unwell after cancelling her Melbourne tours, they should have called the NZ shows off earlier so people like myself did not waste money on travel and accommodation. I was supposed to go to the Thursday night show. Instead it turned out to be an expensive shopping trip.
-Charlotte Goodall

I can see both sides. Poor girl is obviously very sick, but why she took on doing a tour when she is preganat is beyond me. I wasn't going as personally not a fan, but I had a lot of girlfriends make the big trip from Christchurch. They have lost airfares, work pay and taken time off, etc. I think a lot more notice should have being given. If she was as sick as they say they would of known well before. She should now come back and put on free shows and have to do the South Island as well, as we are all not rich like her and can't afford the trip to Auckland again.
-Suzy Nottingham

If all of you spent more time working and less time being concerned about a bollocks lip synced concert then the money would not have been such a big deal for you. You will get your freaken money back as part of the fair trade act. I spent over $2K sorting myself out for this concert inclusive of a limo to and from the concert back to my hotel. Money is only money but she is amazing. God bless you Christina, I will always be here for you.
-Cameron Collings

I won the tickets off a radio station and I live in Auckland. The promoters are only giving a full refund of the purchase price, which on my ticket says $0. Personally I couldn't have cared less if I went or not, but I thought what the hey, I've won the tickets. Now there is no reward for my hard work at winning a radio competition. What about me?
-Casey

I'm disappointed she's not going to perform her show, but I'd rather she cancelled and get a refund than go to a show where she's sick and not performing 100 per cent. I understand people being upset at the late notice, but I think it shows that she tried right up until the last minute to perform for us otherwise she would've just cancelled the Auckland shows along with the melbourne ones. She's pregnant and sick and I'd feel better knowing that her and baby are okay rather than her forcing herself to perform for us. I'm still a fan and if she decides to come back in the future I'll be lining up for tickets again.
-Nellie

I think she'd get a lot more support if she'd just announce if she's knocked up or not. If she is then I think most fans would 'Understand', maybe even tell her to 'Slow Down Baby' and if she's not then she could've said 'Mercy On Me'. Some fans were 'On Our Way' and are now very unhappy and wondering if 'Back In The Day' she would've cancelled the concerts when she first fell sick in Melbourne giving people the time to try and cancel flights, etc.
-Vanessa Smith

I know ticket holders would have been extremely disappointed and their problems were probably exacerbated by the late timing of the cancelation, but I don't understand the anger here. Christina was obviously really hoping she would be able to put on a show for her fans in NZ. She was really sick in Aussie but still made the trip across the Tasman instead of heading home, so she obviously thought she would be able to do the shows. She probably wanted to delay the decision because she was hoping to be able to pull through.
-Natalya

I think that Christina is a wonderful performer. I just wish that people would stop giving her a hard time. She obviously wasn't up to performing.
-John-Paul Etheridge

Get over it you lot! She's just another person like you or me who gets ill and can't do her job some days. She's pregnant for goodness sakes. Would you want to get up on stage, pregnant and stuffed up with the flu and shake your ass and sing your heart out for an hour plus? I don't think so. Same way many people wouldn't even get out of bed to go to work sitting on their bum in an office for eight hours in that state. Geez. Just because you put her up on a pedestal doesn't mean she really is Superwoman. Give the girl a break.
-Steph Wigz

What a shame she is "ill". I don't care if she is having the baby on stage, I just want to see her perform whatever excuse she's got! It just ain't rock 'n' roll, baby!
-Ken Southall

Imagine if Christina had gone ahead with her concerts and she sounded terrible ... then everyone would really be complaining. Give the girl a break.
-Sonia Harvey

I left my jobbie to go to this concert and be with her, kinda disappointed. Anyone out there got a jobbie for me?
-Cameron Vodacone

I was sooo guttered that it got canceled. I don't blame Christina for being "sick" - she obviously couldn't have performed, but she could have given more notice than a few hours before the show. I had to drive eight hours and was on the town excited and ready when I found out. She shouldn't have assumed she could perform when she really couldn't. It was a complete waste of time and money!
-Tania Jackson

The issue is not with the fallible nature of being human, it's with peoples' airline tickets. When you book a non-refundable ticket you commit to travelling, and you buy the ticket on the understanding that it is what it says it is. Travel insurance is a wonderful thing.
-Minnie

I'm sorry but you all need to grow up a bit and get over it. She didn't cancel because she really wanted to do these shows. She could not help it if she wasn't feeling up to it. She's apoligised - what more can she do? Yes a lot of people were looking foward to it but what is done is done.
-E Millar

I'm not really a fan, but to say give her a break because the fans are being selfish is pretty norrow minded. Yes she is sick and she is pregnant, but why cancel at the last minute? She could have cancelled a lot earlier and now the fans who took days off work, sorted accommodation, someone to look after the kids for some, and for most this would probably be something they were looking forward to for a long time. It's unfortunate that this happend and tickets will be refunded provided it wasn't a private sale. Super stars or management at least must take more responsibilty as it is the fans that make them superstars. What a mess.
-Ben Hutana

Wow! What a nasty bunch! Christina is pregnant and ill and you are mad at her for not entertaining you! She has breathing problems at the moment too. No real fan would be upset by this, they would want her to get better and be healthy. Money can come and go but health does not. Next time you are really sick ask yourself if you would like to fly around the world and do a live concert! What a selfish lot.
-Mandy Lancaster

I understand Christina is very ill with the flu and that, but some notice would've been better. Some people have taken days off work without pay for it and a couple of my girlfriends flew up from Wellington for it. Money has been spent on following an idol, and all we get is a 'sorry'!. They could've prevented the disappointment and the anger by cancelling it a day earlier if she's really that sick, because they would've known how bad her condition is. Well, all the best to her and her health, and as for me ... I will never spend money on any of her albums or products again. Ever!
-Nora Fuiava

I flew up from Dunedin last night just before 6pm. I confirmed at this time if it was still on and advised it was. I get to Christchurch and find out last night's concert was cancelled but not tonight's (Friday). I get to Auckland and then find that now both concerts are cancelled. So now only did I waste $500 on a flight there in back in just over 12 hours but two days off work. Not impressed at all at the last minute notice. Fair enough she is sick and I respect that but come on even if they announced lunchtime yesterday it still would have saved a lot of people from travelling and airfares. Will they be reimbursing us that too as well as our tickets?
-Lisa Weir

She should've cancelled the tour altogether. I personally am not a fan and think she's a half-naked sex-promoting tart influencing all the young guns out there. But hey too bad aye? I do feel sorry for all the people who "wasted" their time and money.
-Sarah

Why did they cancel the concerts at the last minute? Why didn't Christina herself front a press conference saying why the concerts have been cancelled? If she had fallen ill in Melbourne and as some reports say - collapsed after a show, why didn't she just cancel or at least postpone the remaining concerts? Many people are out of pocket because of this - including my wife....
-Nick Lambert

I managed to go to the one in Brisbane and to all those people who are disappointed in not seeing her ... don't worry you didnt miss out on much. She has a great voice but no crowd interaction or ambience at her concert. Pink and Beyonce areso much better!
-Sel Baker

If she can give interviews, why can't she sing?
-Tim

What a joke this is! Christina should have cancelled her NZ tour when she was in Australia and cancelled her Melbourne dates, as it was pretty obvious then that she was going to can NZ too. I didn't buy tickets because I went to Pink instead. Rock on Pink.
-T Reign

These people need to grow up. To tell her to get over herself when she is very sick and pregnant is immature and wrong. Why risk your baby's life and your own health for a concert? Have some thought for her and her unborn instead of being selfish.
-Scott

People should take note that after U2 postponed their concerts in Auckland last year, David Russell from the Consumers Institue was on TV suggesting that people can claim compensation for any costs incurred as a result of a concert being cancelled. From memory, I think he said that travel expenses, accommodation expenses and even loss of income resulting from a cancellation is all recoverable by providing receipts, statements or some sort of resonable proof. This apparently applies even if the opposite is written on the ticket. I'm not too sure how this would work in this case, since the concert was cancelled only hours before it was supposed to start and therefore people might find it difficult to prove that they wouldn't have been flying, staying in a hotel in Auckland, etc, for some another reason. Promotion companies have insurance policies to deal with this sort of stuff and if their policy doesn't cover these costs ... I'm pretty sure David Russell was saying that you can take them directly to the cleaners! Did anyone else see this on TV, or might be able to confirm this?
-Simon

I saw Christina's Back to Basics Tour in Stuttgart last December. It was truly a great concert, her voice is stunning and the show was spectacular! She has toured since November 2006 and I can understand that she is a bit worn down and her fans should understand that the quality of the show would have been compromised if she performed while she is this sick. You never know, she might come back in some months and complete the tour or the next tour she will maybe bump it up for Melbourne and Auckland. It's a shame but have a bit of sympathy!
-Aidyn Rasmussen

Seriously - four months pregnant and doing shows like that? What is she thinking? That's not 'concern' suddenly - nor the flu!! she's been under strict bed rest and should have cancelled much earlier than two hours before the show - at least people then wouldn't have wasted their time going to Auckland or taking a day off work for travel as my friends did! I understand health comes first but she knew she was sick and should have stopped in Aussie!! I feel sorry for her fans - she should have known better. It's not 'honourable' to cancel two hours before a show! You would know all day if you were a performer that you weren't up to scratch! And you'd want to give your all. I just feel sorry for the fans that I've seen so disappointed.
-Kelly N

Why did she wait three hours before the show or how ever many hours it was before they cancelled it? You idiots who go on about her baby being so important are part of the 90 per cent of the population who are absolute idiots. She should not have come over at all. Cancelling in Australia may have been a clue.
-Hank

Christina collapsed backstage in Melbourne, she obviously has more than a little flu. To the man who commented that she was soft, she is four months pregnant and does not want to risk her pregnancy. I think she did the right thing. I understand there would be a lot of planning going into travel, etc, but I'm sure they could still enjoy their weekend up in Auckland.
-Skye

To all you people giving Christina a hard time: Lay off! The poor girl is sick! And pregnant! To Jessica Abrigo: You are the selfish cow, not Christina, you wouldn't go to work if you had a chest infection so why should Christina get up on stage and run around? After all, performing is part of her work. I think those people who have posted negative comments should get over themselves. The world is not about you!
-Michelle

Why be upset, she's crap?!
-Simon James

What a dissapointment to say the least! I think it was soooo slack cancelling it only a few hours before the event began. Although I only had to come from Auckland's North Shore I really feel sorry for those who were coming from far and wide and had spent alot of money to get here. I know health is important but I truely think there must have been a better way to handle this. Why do a tour when you're four months pregnant anyway! I mean surely they could have rescheduled it or something. The thing that really gets to me is she still gets her money for performing so it's no big loss to her - only to us! Me and my sister were already in the car on our way there as we were going to make a night of it, like go to dinner and suff. All in all a tremendous disappointment.
-Rosemary Dixon

All you people should get over it! Christina is pregnant for goodness sake, with her hectic schedule it's no wonder she is worn down and sick. She cancelled her Melbourne concert, shouldn't that tell you something? Your own health (and that of your baby) should always take top priority.
-Margie Te Huna

What a bunch of moaners on here. I understand that you have shelled out for the concert. But the lady is sick! She has a chest infection and is four months pregnant. Even if she had cancelled when she cancelled her Aussie shows you still wouldn't be getting your airfares back, or, your shifts back at work. Christina did an admirable thing and had hoped to be well enough for the NZ shows. But obviously she wasn't. Big ups to her and I hope she gets well soon :)
-Sam

Oh Dear! How sad and never mind. Christina will not be able to perform her own brand of soft porn to our rather impressibabe young girls and boys. I see in Asia some groups wanted her less-than-savoury concert banned for moral reasons.
-Nelly Hymen

I feel really sorry for the likes of the young 13 year old girl Suzie Farmer, who wrote in from Christchurch. Just goes to show, all these new age "pop stars" are soft, and haven't got the dedication or commitment to their fans like the old time rockers. Real bands like Axl Roses' GnR, Motley Crue, Motorhead, Sebastian Bach, etc, who have been touring in the last couple of years don't run out on a show just because they have a bit of flu. And they're old geezers. Kiss basically had to tie Paul Stanley down the other night when he was having "heart problems" before the show, because he didn't want to let the fans down. I suggest to the likes of Suzie Farmer, that she asks her Dad to bring out some good old time rock to have a listen to.
-Blair Garlick

I too was meant to go the concert on Thursday night. Like everyone one I am absolutely gutted that the show didn't go ahead. I hold out hope that hopefully Christina will be able to come back to NZ and Australia and perform the shows we all missed. My heart goes out to those of you who had to travel far and wide to get to Auckland for these shows. But really it's not fair to give Christina or the promoters the bad wrap you are dishing out. If you were sick would you want to get up on a stage doing numerous costume changes, belting out songs like your life depended on it, and running through gruelling dance routines under hot lights? Most of us don't want to go to school or work when we're sick - its no different for a performer such as Christina. She is human she is entitled to get ill and put her hand up and say I just can't do this. The reason promoters leave it to the last minute to inform people is not to inconvience anyone on purpose - it's because they try everything they can with doctors to help the performer get well in the hopes that the show will go on. They hold out till the last minute in order to see if they can please the public - in this instance it didn't work in their favour and we all missed out on a good show. Yes, some of us wasted money on plane tickets and accommodation and had to watch helpless as our young daughters face fell in huge disappointed but at the end of the day this poor girl is sick and through our disappointment we should support her and send her good wishes to get better - show her that we are the good fans we have been, that we all have hearts, that we are not bent up angry people who aren't worth coming back to do a concert for. She is only human guys - get over yourselves. To Christina - I send you all my best wishes and hope you are well soon.
-Anita James

I am very upset. Not only has she cancelled but she gave such short notice that many of my friends who had already travelled to Auckland at their expense have had their hopes dashed in the mud! A refund on the ticket amount will in no way compensate for the dissapointment I'm feeling right now.
-Esther

Me and my family are so upset about this. We have been counting the days until the amazing woman herself hit our stages. My mum is going away in September, and this was our last chance to go out with her, just us four 'girls' in the family, a nice night out. We don't go out together all that much; this was our girls night out. And now it has been ruined. If she is cancelling most of her concerts, why doesn't she just cancel the whole tour? Personally, my mother and i do not even understand why is she even touring after finding out that she is pregnant? Isn't that unfair?? Of course she is going to be unwell, the first three months is the hardest for coming down with illnesses when pregnant. She is in a very vulnerable position for sickness, surely she recognises this situation? And what about those who travelled from other places of NZ? It's not like they can get aeroplane tickets every week and just have an attitude of, "hey, its okay! That's fine, i'll just travel up ten times until she gets better!" So many people are upset about Christina cancelling. I admire her so much. Probably the most out of my family. It has shaken so many. Hopefully she will postpone it to a date where my mum is in NZ. Basically our plans for our farewell for my mother have been ruined. We were just looking forward to it so much I guess. It's just so disappointing knowing that you aren't going to get what you thought you were. Get better, Christina. We do love you.
-Jasmine

This is bloody pathetic and unorganised but thanks to Christina and her team for wasting my time and money.
-KWEEN SA

Christina is a selfish little cow. Personally I think she has an amazing voice but her songs are stupid and irrelevent. My younger sister and my little cousin both "were" obsessed with this tart, therefore me and my older sister decided to fly them both up to Auckland from Christchurch, considering it was my sister's birthday last week. We flew up, booked into our hotel, went shopping in the city and the girls were realy excited. We cought a cab to the Arena, and there we were then notified of the cancellation, which is absolutely rediculous. You know I read comments on here saying she has to put her health first and what not, that is true although she could have notified us when she had cancelled the shows in Australia. I think she's a selfish cow, you know we're not millionaires like she is - in fact so far from it she wouldn't even know nor care. All up my older sister and I have spent over $1000 on this entire thing (which is nothing to her) but a lot to us, and I feel ripped off. She can make it up to everyone by saying sorry to NZ at the next Grammy Awards ... otherwise she can get stuffed and no one should ever buy another one of her albums, and if you're that obsessed you can't live with out her music, pirate her music and sell it, make a profit off her music.
-Jessica Abrigo

I am extremely disappointed to hear Christina has cancelled both the concerts. I am not angry at Christina or the promoters, but merely angry at the fact that the concerts are cancelled and not postponed. This type of concert is a huge thing for New Zealanders, especially since many, many people had been following her career for years to come. And to get a last minute cancellation is just devastating for all the fans. It will be another three or four years before she gets another albuma and begins touring, and by that time she'll probably bypass NZ anyway. I just don't understand why they can't postpone the concert? See how well she feels in a weeks time at least, rather then flatly refusing to postpone at all?
-Daniel Rodger

I'm gutted that Christina couldn't perform as I could only afford one concert (wanted to see Gwen and Pink too), and the one I pick gets cancelled! But at the same time, her health and her baby's health (if she really is pregnant) are far more important! I do think they could have announced it earlier though as at 1.15pm she was definitely going on and 4.30pm it was cancelled. I feel sorry for those who travelled a long way as the expense could have been huge. But I do hope Christina is okay as that is far more important.
-Hannah Brett

I was just reading the comments about the cancelling of Christina Aguilera's shows in Auckland. Yes it's disappointing and for some a financial burden. However, let's wait to hear exactly what the issue was with her health before you pass judgement. If you were faced with perform or lose the baby - what would your choice be? Everything in perspective please!
-Kim Garito

Personally, I was not going to any of the concerts, however I really feel for all those people that rescheduled their lives around this one event. Driving to work at 2pm Thursday it was announced 200 more tickets had just been put online to buy and at 5pm I was told it was cancelled. To cancel at such a late stage is appalling! So many people would have already flown, driven, trained, etc, to Auckland only to be told that it's cancelled. She knew she was sick already because she cancelled her Australia shows. It's disappointing that so many people effectively wasted their hard-earned cash on a night that never happened and I totally agree with those that say the promoters should be liable and have to reimburse for airline tickets and hotel accomodation.
-Ross

X-tina! It is wak dat she wud do that to me - speshly since I came all da way from Whakas Whakatane (Hollah!) all 4 her. But her babe comes first ... stil luv ya gurl!
-Matt McLean

On the bright side, no one should catch a foreign virus. Goodness me!
-Ben

I think it is very rude of her. People would have spent money on air fares and for her to cancel at the last minute is very very rude! She should at least perform at a later date! It's her fault I suppose. She will have lost many fans like myself.
-Sarah C

I had to have a laugh at Christina Aguilera's press release statement when she said it was her first time in our beautiful country. Is her memory that bad or is she merely ignorant? She sang at Rangitoto College on Auckland's North Shore in 2000.
-Vicki Currie

I think everyone needs to take a chill pill and take into concideration that Christina is sick. Yes! Thats right! Even the rich and famous can get sick, just like the rest of us! So you paid for your flights to Auckland and back, so what! Go to the casino. Go see what our millions of dollars are being wasted on for their roads. Just get over it!
-Joseph 'The Explosive' Denyer

I can't beleieve people are complaining about Christina cancelling. It is pretty selfish to put your own entertainment before a pregnant womans health. She probably waited until the last minute to cancel because she really wanted to do the show and was planning to go ahead with it. Have some sympathy for God's sakes, it's only money!
-Aaron Brown

I am utterly disgusted with people negative comments about Christina Aguilera. She is sick. She is going to have a baby for goodness sake. She can't do a concert when she is sick. You negative people get a life.
-Shirell Leary

If you take out cancellation insurance (around $20) when you purchase your flights, you are covered in case of sudden illness, or concert cancellation. Christina is quite ill, and also pregnant. Let her look after herself and her baby, and petition the promoters to refund your tickets or reschedule her show for a later date. How many of you would go to work if chronically ill? Give the girl a break.
-Helen

Although really looking forward to the concert, having heard that the Melbourne concerts were cancelled due to illness, I wouldn't have been able to enjoy the concert here, as I would have been thinking, "is she going to collapse? ... is she okay right now?". At the end of the day, it's her health and baby at risk, and she's got to look after herself, completely understandable.
-Erana

I am disappointed for my 16-year-old daughter and niece and think she should have cancelled much sooner than today! What really annoys me is the fact that airfares are non-refundable. Yes, you can use them at a later date but its unlikely two 16-years-olds would travel to Auckland on a whim.
-Beckett

People have incurred costs such as travel and hotels - this is simply not on. Promoters should be made to carry these costs if a concert is cancelled less than 24 hours prior to show time. It would be covered by insurance. I also had problems with Pink rescheduling I had already bought tickets too the French test in Wellington and had to be in Auckland on the following night so had to incur the cost of a flight and extra charges for hotel accommodation. It's just not on.
-Annette Crockett

I was a little dissapointed at the cancellation, seeing as a lot of people would have travelled from outside of the Auckland region. However I guess if Christina wasn't feeling 100 per cent then its not worth her just putting in 90 per cent show she would want to give it 100 per cent. I hope she decides to come back to Auckland in the future.
-Shane Wuth

Hi my name is Susie Farmer, I'm from Christchurch, 13 years old and one of Christina Aguilera's biggest fans. I flew to Auckland this morning and checked into a hotel with my dad. I spent a few hours getting ready for the concert I have been waiting for many months now. The first that we knew that the concert was cancelled, was when we were walking up towards Vector Arena. As you can imagine I am so upset then angry when in front of myself and my dad, a reporter was interviewing Christina's tour manager who didn't seem to be that bothered when asked about people who had come so far like myself to see the show and for all the expense. I had been saving up for many months including using my birthday money which is not until the end of the month as well.
-Susie Farmer

It's really disappointing, the Christina Aguilera concert being cancelled. But the worst thing is that you can't get a refund on your airline tickets.
-Jackie MacDonald

Sure we are upset the concert is cancelled. But health is more important and we all understand that. Would rather not see her at all than to attend a below par concert.
-Maree

I am really disappointed. I had purchased two tickets for myself and daughter for her birthday. We are flying up to Auckland first thing in the morning from Christchurch and are booked into a hotel for the weekend. Will still go ahead with the trip as had purchased cheapest non refundable/non exchangeable air tickets. Really really really disappointed. :-(

I am absolutely gutted that this could happen at the last minute. My daughter has driven two hours from Te Anau to Queenstown and then flown to Auckland at a huge cost to go to this concert. At 5pm she rang and was told that the concert was definitely on. She is now currently driving to the venue, how can this happen? She should've cancelled way before this!

Can understand she's sick and pregnant. Am upset she cant perform here in New Zealand waited ages to get 4th row centre stage tickets. Hope her and bubba are ok.
-Amber

To cancel at the last minute after fans have reorganised their whole lives around the concert timetable is disgusting. She should get over herself and remember that without fans, she is nobody.
-Margaret, for Melissa

Totally gutted. Had just broken news to my daughter I was taking her as a suprise then it came over news. They are now two very upset gals.

Can't she do the show on Saturday? A lot of out of towners have wasted their time.

Very very disappointed with her cancelling the concert. I have applied to take the night off work (which I can't cancel because they have replaced my position for the night, not entitled to holiday pay as only recently started this job) at great cost to me, plus the cost of the ticket. Which I was happy to do, because of her amazing voice. Now I am left with a loss of pay and a bad feeling towards Aguilera.
