Jemaine Clement, co-star of Flight of the Conchords, has found the most beautiful girl (in the room) - and married her.
Clement, 34, took a short break from writing the second series of the Conchords' television show and wed his long-time girlfriend, Wellington actress and theatre director Miranda Manasiadis, in a Los Angeles registry office.
A small group of friends, including Flight of the Conchords co-star Bret McKenzie, was there.
The two men, nominated for Emmy Awards for the first season of their comedy series for American television, are now in New York preparing to film the second season.
Manasiadis had a small part in Kiwi feature comedy Eagle vs Shark, which starred Clement, but she is best known for her work in theatre.
She has had major roles in plays at Circa and Bats theatres, as well working with independent and experimental theatre companies.
She wrote and directed The Singularity for Afterburner theatre company, staged at Peter Jackson's Stone Street Studios and Bats this year.
