Angelina Jolie's former make-up artist was found dead yesterday, and tributes from other stars have begun flowing in.
Paul Starr - who has worked for Hollywood stars including Jolie, Mariah Carey, Jessica Alba, Renee Zellweger and Jennifer Garner - was discovered in his Los Angeles apartment after friends became worried after not hearing from him for several days.
The cosmetician - who was reported to be 48-years-old - had worked in the industry for the past two decades and authored a book in 2005 entitled Paul Starr on Beauty: Conversations with Thirty Celebrated Women.
In the tome, Starr's former clients spoke about their relationship with the make-up artist.
Jolie said: "During the time we have spent in the make-up chair, we talked about everything but the photo shoot - global issues, babies, human rights."
Alias star Jennifer Garner added: "Paul Starr has this uncanny ability to look at a face and see what it needs. He's done my face a thousand times and never repeated a look. I have never felt more like the best version of myself than when Paul has made me up."
Starr's cause of death is as yet unknown.
