Fashion Week: Boshier smokes up catwalk (+pics)

Designer Lucie Boshier warned people to prepare for chaos at Air New Zealand Fashion Week, and the controversial Kiwi designer certainly delivered.
With models writhing on the catwalk, girls in champagne glasses and paper money being flung at the crowd, Boshier stunned the crowded audience at her first Fashion Week show.
Taking her cue from the Liza Minelli movie Caberet, Boshier sent girls down the runway in over-the-top, lingerie-inspired outfits.
There were bustiers worn with sparkly leggings, slinky dresses in watercolour prints, and loungewear-style cover-ups.
Boshier's curvy models enjoyed the show immensely, which was closed in controversial style by a drag queen lighting up a cigarette and smoking it on stage.

I had never been to a fashion show before and lucies was one of the first it was fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was great to see some real woman on the catwalk, and the crowd being entertained as well as admiring the clothes. after seeing the other fashion shows after lucies that were ok but her one blew me away!!! Cant wait to visit her shop!!! great job lucie
its really good to finally see a designer that uses 'real' women on stage, just a shame others are still using size 0 models around the world.
anorexic stick insects walking on the catwalk in the latest fashions are the cause of rise in eating disorders
You Rock Lucie!!!! I for one have had enough of seeing 'Starvation on stilts' passing as models
SCARY!!
fantastic!. All these fashion designers take themselves and their industry way to seriously.
