COLD CLIMATE: Pregnant pop star Ashlee Simpson is demanding every room she is in be set at a constantly cold temperature.

Heavily pregnant Ashlee Simpson wants all rooms she is in set at a constant icy temperature.

The US singer’s husband, Fall Out Boy bass player Pete Wentz, says Ashlee feels so hot all the time she has to have all rooms set to 34 degrees Fahrenheit.

Pete, 29, said: “She's hot all the time. She's like, ‘I wish I was in Canada right now.’ Our room temperature is set to like, 34 degrees. It's insane!"

Ashlee, 24 - whose original due date was October 27th - could give birth any day, and while she is excited about the birth, she is finding everyday tasks a struggle because of her sizeable bump.

Pete added: "I am on call permanently right now. She's at the very end, and it could happen at any point. I think she wants to just be not pregnant anymore. It's a struggle to go up and down the stairs. Going out in public is insane."

Despite hints the couple are expecting a boy, Pete claims he and Ashlee never found out the gender. They have also decided to wait for the new arrival before they decide on a name.

He continued: “I want to meet the baby first, my friend said it best - you've got to have a baby with a name that could be a rock star or a senator, so he'll get work either way."
