It's no joke - Walk the Line star Joaquin Phoenix has confirmed that he is retiring from movies to concentrate on a career in music.
"I think it's just moving on. It's rediscovering something else," said Phoenix, 34, in an interview published by news agency Associated Press.
"It's like greener pastures, you know what I mean? And so, I'm just going to try and like, I'll just be doing the other thing. Hopefully, I will emotionally impact you with that, as well."
Phoenix confirmed his latest film, Two Lovers, would be his last as he concentrated on a career in music.
Phoenix first talked about his retirement in an awkward interview with TV show Extra. He ended the interview when the interviewer laughed and said he thought he was joking.
