Chris Brown is New Zealand's most googled celebrity.
New statistics released today show the R&B star, who recently performed two sold out shows in Auckland, is the celebrity most searched for by Kiwis in 2008 using internet search engine Google.
He beat the late Heath Ledger, new American president Barack Obama, teen queen Miley Cyrus, and his girlfriend Rihanna, to the top spot.
Other celebrities to make the top 10 included pop stars Britney Spears, Leona Lewis and Amy Winehouse, and reality TV star Lauren Conrad.
Mountaineer Sir Edmund Hillary came in at No. 7.
Ledger topped the search for the most popular 'dead celebrity' category.
