One Direction are the latest artists to join James Cordon for Carpool Karaoke, in which Niall Horan reveals he would marry Selena Gomez, and Louis Tomlinson opens up about privacy.

It kicks off suitably with a belt-out of the band's first single Beautiful, before two women pull upa car next to them and take selfies in the traffic.

When asked by Cordon if the fan obsession is ever scary, Tomlinson recounts a recent, bizarre fan experience.

"It does get a bit scary when people are close to your house," he says.

"I remember a couple of weeks ago I tweeted 'there's nothing worse than waking up in the morning and you can't have a cup of tea cause you've got no milk'. Within an hour I looked out someone was ringing my bell relentlessly, then this 45-year-old women comes to the door and shes like 'here's the milk' and I said thanks love, but..."

Cordon does his best to inspire the band to create a music video for No Control, with some pretty sweet dance moves and matching denim ensembles.

The band has decided not to support their fifth album, Made in the A.M, with a tour, instead taking a year-long break from One Direction.

Cordon's enthusiastic, "lets rethink this hiatus!" is met with an awkward "hmm" from Niall and a whistle from Harry Styles.

When asked about their time off, Liam Payne says it is quite scary because they have not stopped in five years.

"We are going to miss being on stage I obviously, but I think more than anything, we havn't seen our families. So my mum and dad are actually coming to live with me for a little bit so that will be quite nice spending some time with them."

Tomlinson says it will be interesting to see what each band member does as individuals throughout the break, "I think it's going to be cool."
