Kimberly Crossman is making her mark in a brand new E! web series.

Auckland-raised actress Kimberley Crossman is the star of a brand new US web series that went live Tuesday.

The former Shorty Street star has landed a role in the web series Hashtaggers, a comedic series that follows four ambitious social media executives and features a number of celebrity cameos.

Crossman, who is better known for her role as Sophie McKay on the hit local soap, has been based in Los Angeles since 2012.

Despite securing guest roles in shows such as the CBS network's NCIS Los Angeles, Crossman has struggled to solidify her place in Hollywood.

"I have been feeling a little unsettled the past few weeks just getting back in the LA routine and giving over to the fact that not everything will work out in my desired timing," wrote the actress on her blog.

The entire season of Crossman's new digital series is available to view on E! Online.

"The hilarious show revolves around four employees at a social media agency," reported E!.

"The group secretly helps celebs with their Twitter accounts, but things don't always go according to plan."
