Kanye West claims he is $79 million in debt
He might have touted himself as the "greatest artist of all time", but the US rapper has confessed he is actually US$53 million (about NZ$79m) in debt.
West, who is estimated to be worth at least US$100m, with wife Kim Kardashian boosting the family income by nearly US$50m according to TMZ, took to Twitter to admit his financial struggles.
"I write this to you my brothers while still 53 million dollars in personal debt ... Please pray we overcome ... This is my true heart..."

The confession came following a series of tweets explaining the naming of his newest album The Life of Pablo, previously called Swish, Waves, and So Help Me God.
He claimed it was named after Paul the Apostle, "the most powerful messenger of the first century".
The rapper, who is known for his unapologetic tweets, also reached out to Facebook co-founder and billionaire Mark Zuckerberg, saying, "Mark Zuckerberg invest 1 billion dollars into Kanye West ideas after realising he is the greatest living artist and greatest artist of all time."

The Twitter rant come days after West tweeted that Bill Cosby, who is currently facing sexual assault allegations, is innocent.
West also found himself in hot water recently for another rant surrounding singer Taylor Swift.
In a string of 15 posts he responded to criticism of a new song Famous, in which he says, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex," and that he "made that bitch famous".
He said that, as an artist, he will express how he feels with no censorship.
"2nd thing I asked my wife for her blessings and she was cool with it.
"3rd thing I called Taylor and had a hour long convo with her about the line and she thought it was funny and gave her blessings."
