Kiwi Victoria's Secret model Stella Maxwell has been named the World's Hottest Woman by Maxim Magazine.

The 25-year-old model, who's better known for her fleeting relationship with Miley Cyrus, has walked for the likes of Versace, Balmain, Marc Jacobs and Fendi, beating out the world's most beautiful women and last year's winner Taylor Swift, to trump this year's list.

Maxwell thanked the magazine via Instagram, sharing a post from her photoshoot with the mag and writing: "Thank you to @maximmag for naming me No. 1 hottest girl 2016... I want to share this with all the women around the world because we are all Number 1."

Maxwell, who was born in Europe but raised in Wellington and studied at Otago University, made her Victoria's Secret debut in 2014.
