Katy Perry has revealed she won't be smooching anyone this year, after splitting from Gym Class Heroes frontman Travis McCoy.
When Grammy-nominated Katy, 24, was asked who she would like to kiss at the upcoming awards, she said: "I've actually taken a vow of celibacy this year... no kissing anyone.
"Just my cat, Kitty Purry."
Katy and Travis' two-year romance is believed to have ended amid a flurry of arguments.
A source said: "It's sad, but they were fighting a lot in recent months because they never saw each other.
"When somebody becomes very famous very quickly their relationship usually suffers. She's going through such a huge time at the moment so needs to be on her own."
Katy - who is in the running for the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance Grammy for ‘I Kissed a Girl' - revealed her Christian pastor parents, who previously condemned her racy hit, are delighted with her nomination.
She said: "They can't believe they created something that is Grammy-nominated."
