Sons of Zion say their new album stays true to their reggae roots.

Sons of Zion's new album Universal Love comes out on Friday, but you can get an early taste thanks to an exclusive album stream brought to you by Stuff and Sony.

Universal Love is the long-awaited follow-up to the Kiwi band's 2009 debut album, features the hit singles Good Love, Tell Her and Superman.

Frontman Rio Panapa says: "We are really excited about releasing our second album Universal Love. There is something in there for everyone, including a couple of collaborations with our good friends Pieter T, Sidney Diamond, Jah Maoli and Tomorrow People. 

"While staying true to our roots in reggae music, this album is definitely a progression of the Sons of Zion sound and journey."

Sons of Zion will be signing copies of their new album at JB Hi Fi Manukau on Friday at 5pm.
