The 17-year old Royals singer seems optimistic about her chances at the Grammys today.

Lorde this morning tweeted that she is "feeling so good" about tonight, and presumably her chances of taking home any or all of her four nominated awards.

The Auckland star, whose real name is Ella Yelich-O'Connor, is in the running for four Grammys at today's American music industry awards, including Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Pop Vocal Album.

She faces big-name competition, including Daft Punk, Imagine Dragons, Robin Thicke, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, Lana Del Rey.

Lorde is currently ranked within the top three Twitter trends in New Zealand, with several high profile Kiwis today tweeting their support:

Good luck today @lordemusic. Your achievements of the last year already massive regardless of what happens today #kiwimusic
