The Together Through Life competition
Today is the day. Together Through Life sees its release - and I promised you a competition for a chance to win one of five copies of the album.

I have spent the last week listening to the album and while I'll never go on record as saying it's a total classic, it is an album that I have enjoyed more with each listen. It's a strong set of songs that sees Bob Dylan relaxing into a version of western swing; of his most recent albums I still stand by my early comment that it is most like Love & Theft.
This time last week I posted the teaser that we'd have a competition. And I offered you the chance to come up with your own ideas for how to go about winning...
I'll go with Jonny's comment from last week, which was: how about: Which [an]other side of Bob Dylan is missing from 'I'm Not There'? Write a character synopsis for one more aspect of his personality/ career which could have been explored in that movie...
So, you can do that - that is one way you can win. But I'll add in that you have to pick the actor best suited to carry off that character synopsis too. Click here for a rundown of the movie I'm Not There if you need some help remembering the existing characters from the film.
Or you can have a go at one of these tasks - and I'll pick the best answers and announce the winners on this post later in the week. So get in fast:
What is your dream Bob Dylan setlist? List a baker's dozen + two-song encore
Bob Dylan used to talk about releasing an all-instrumental album. Create a 10-song track list (and create names for the imaginary songs) and give the fictional album a title.
Write an ode to Bob Dylan: make a short poem or prose-poem using as many Dylan song titles as you can while still (hopefully) making sense
What is my favourite Bob Dylan song? And what original album does it feature on?
Which [an]other side of Bob Dylan is missing from 'I'm Not There'? Write a character synopsis for one more aspect of his personality/career which could have been explored in that movie and name the actor you would choose to carry off this role..
So, you can only have a go at answering one task at a time - choose your task and have a go. I will be picking one winner from each category - if someone guesses number four straight away then they have that sewn up and I'll make the announcement. So choose which question/task you want to answer carefully. And go to it.
I really think fans are going to dig Together Through Life; what I like about it the most is that Dylan is really using the instrumental music as his language now, when, for so long, he has been revered as a lyricist. That doesn't mean that he no longer has anything to say as a poet, just that his Theme Time Radio Hour and his devotion to the folk, jazz, blues and roots music from the past has been spun in to his own sound.
Don't forget to check out the revealing interview on his website.
And get in quick if you want to win your own copy of Together Through Life, released officially today.
Update: All winners have been found, thanks for all the entries - the competition is now over.

What is my favourite Bob Dylan song? And what original album does it feature on? One more cup of coffee from the album desire (which also featured the epic song Hurricane). This song features EmmyLou Harris and is incredibly beautiful and haunting.
@ Matt - good song, but it's not correct. And likewise Emma, that might be your favourite song (and it is good) but it's not my favourite...keep guessing.

Was It What You Wanted? For me to find another Sweetheart Like You? Too late now to Trust Yourself, It's All over now Baby Blue.
Maybe Someday I'll see you Knockin' On Heaven's Door, till then you know I Shall Be Free
Emotionally Yours
Simon, I'm going to guess that your fave Bob Dylan song is Knockin on Heaven's door, from the Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid soundtrack. Two reasons, firstly you asked for the original album this song came off rather than explicitly saying it was a Bob Dylan album, and secondly because of your love of Guns N Roses and their version of the song which kinda helps to strengthen the original. In a good way, much the same that the Muttonbirds helped to do with the Formulya original of Nature.
I might get points off for answering my own suggestion, so I'm going with the instrumental album. It is called...
'Shenandoah', and here's the tracklist:
1. Big Feet. 2. I Shall Be Free #11. 3. At Her Darkest. 4. Didn't He Tip Your See-Saw? 5. Lincoln Continental. 6. Till We Run Outta Road. 7. That's Behind Us Now. 8. Back to Paradise. 9. Men Without Women. 10. The Midlands.
