Attack of the Sax Pack
Following on from my look at the Saxamaphone the other week...I have this to report...
This Sunday, December 20, Adam Page and The Adelaide Sax Pack will perform a one-off Christmas show at Downstage Theatre in Wellington. Tickets are $22 (concession is $18).
Adam Page is an Australian multi-instrumentalist who seems to have fallen in love with New Zealand this year. He performed here as part of the Fringe Festival, winning Best Music and Best Solo Show. And he was back to put on a show with Strike later in the year.
This time he will be on the stage with a saxophone quartet - deconstructing, sending up, re-arranging cheesy songs.
Here they are taking on Killing in the Name Of.
If you want to win a double-pass to the show drop a comment below. I think it should be a great show - and you know my feelings are divided when it comes to the sax.
I've seen Page's solo show this year. And his show with Strike - I also got to see him sitting in with some local musicians at a jam-night a couple of times. The man is a great entertainer and a huge talent.
So give me a reason why you would like to see the show this weekend, 7pm on Sunday, December 20, and I'll see what I can do...first in, keenest to answer...(you need to be based in Wellington).

I like how they mashed it up with Frosty the Snowman. Appeals to the side of me that can't stand RATM.
I'm not sure it'll catch on like the ukelele thing... but that's probably a good thing for the Sax Pack.
