So far, so zzzz

Reading between the firing lines it seems I might have got it wrong. Judging by the deafening silence it seems you lot are loving this show.

Either that, or you really hate it, can't be bothered watching it, or you have no opinion whatsoever. I mean look what happens when the telly wallahs say they're going to pull the daytime soaps, or cut back the number of epsiodes of Coro St that screen each week, or one of the Masterchef contestants finds his own hair in his soup - there's a bloody uproar. But The Apprentice? So far, so ho hum.

Maybe it's the calibre of the contestants. They're hardly Ivy Leaguers, and they're young. They mumble and they all sound like graduates of the John Key School of Euphemisms. The Yanks, despite their big hair, and OTT eagerness, at least had some personality (bring back Lee). And if they weren't Harvard graduates they had at least lived a little.

Maybe it's the fact Serepisos isn't Sir Bob Jones. Jones wouldn't piss around not firing people, he'd be punching their bright, little lights out, left, right and centre. And he'd be drinking a nice red while he was doing it.

Oh, and one more thing. Re the double act, and my theory Rich and Nicky are going to win. The other side to that of course is that because no one got booted off this week, then two of them are going to get the boot next week.

This post originally said ratings for The Apprentice NZ had fallen to 25,280 viewers on March 9, from 53,230. In fact, those were the ratings for the US version of The Apprentice on TV One that week.

Sorry to say Julie, that for me personally it's these blogs that are zzzzzzzzzz.

The show is doing just fine, and I really think more people would comment if these blogs were better. (only my own opinion though)

Had to laugh at your bring back Lee comment, that would see me flick over to Coro St I'm afraid! Hahaha

:)

Where do you get those figures from? Not what it says on Throng. According to that it was watched by 364,000 people last week and 361,000 this week - a difference of just 3000 and probably negligible taking into account the margin of error. Can't see where you're getting that it's halved its audience (or where you get figures of 53,00 and 25,000 peeps).

The Apprentice also wasn't on TV on March 13th so perhaps you're confusing it with something else. Like Des, I think the quality and accuracy of your blog is why people aren't bothering to respond. You should check out Twitter on a Tuesday night (n.b. Tuesday rather than the Saturday)it's completely crazy.

I'm loving it - go Catherine or Karen for The Apprentice.

People want to blog about the funny things about this show not all the negatives. That's why Facebook and Twitter are crazy for this show at the moment. Maybe you could take a more light-hearted approach.

If they want more viewers they could show more fights. Or give us more of Dan and Dave and maybe Nicky and Linda for the boys!!!

It's as much of a train wreck as I expected. Married to a Reality TV junkie so we get to watch it every week.

Sir Rob would have made a great boss though. He'd kick some ass.

Have to agree, these blogs are a bit serious and matter-of-fact.

I watch the show, it's entertaining. But why on earth it has a whole blog dedicated to it, I do not know. It's a funny show, but I am really not into it enough to be interested in reading / commenting in a blog about it (only writing this because you've asked).
