Michael Jackson's generation
I'm in shock.
Michael Jackson is reported to have died of a heart attack.
Here's the latest report to date from AAP:
Pop legend Michael Jackson is reported to have died of a heart attack after he was rushed to hospital in Los Angeles.
The entertainment TMZ website reports Jackson suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon and paramedics were unable to revive him.
Earlier, a fire department official told the Los Angeles Times that Michael Jackson had been rushed to the hospital.
Steve Ruda told the newspaper that Jackson was not breathing when Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to a call at his Los Angeles home about 12:30pm (LA time).
The paramedics performed CPR and took him to UCLA Medical Center, Ruda told the paper.
He's not looked well for a long time.
Representatives of my generation and earlier will be abuzz, no matter what your personal feelings on the controversial singer/dancer and sometime actor. This will relegate news of (actress and 70s icon) Farrah Fawcett's death to the back pages...
So much for MJ's comeback tour...
Feel free to express your thoughts on the death of Michael Jackson, king of pop, below.

Very very sad. Listening to his music now and shedding a few tears. He really was a clever man no matter wot other rubbish went on in his life.
What ever... Are you sure he is not just in a coma or something

I thank MJ for his music and allowing me to grow up with it over the last 40 odd years. He is an icon that will never be surpassed and my kid's love of his music now is a statement of his wonderful talents.
what a sad loss to the world, he was a movement in my day, the clothes, the music, the cassingles
rest in peace
How sad - such a great musician and such a troubled soul may he rest in peace and if there if a life ever after may it be better for him than the one he lived on earth -- love you MJ RIP
What sad news!
MJ was the Man...the greatest entertainer of all time!
Despite being dragged down with all those allegations, he should be best remembered for his music, his dance moves, his creativity and all the charity work that he was involved with.
Who can ever forget "Thriller" or "Billie Jean?"
Rest in peace, King of Pop
An immense talent, how sad. RIP.
