Who wants to win a WotWot?

Last updated 13:35 02/09/2009

SpottyWotYou know you're a parent of a pre-schooler when communication with your significant other no longer contains witty quotes from such cult hits as The Big Lebowski or The Simpsons and instead quotes small pink and blue aliens resident at Wellington Zoo.

If you've ever replied to a question in the negative with a sad shake of the head and: "Notty-notty" then you'll want to get your hands on one of these beauties, based on a children's series by Wellington's Weta Workshop, worth $45 and soon to be released into a toy store near you.

WotWots Funvertible toys come in both DottyWot and SpottyWot flavours and feature different animal parts that can be tucked in or pulled out to give them all kinds of wild and wacky looks! According to the PR: Children will have hours of fun trying on DottyWot's zebra feet or kangaroo ears or SpottyWot’s bat wings and lion tail.

They're definitely different... they bring to mind the latest buy-out with Disney's Mouse House buying Marvel (Comics) Entertainment for US$4 billion.

Will this lead to some cross-over films in future? There is concern that it is only a matter of time before the multiplex screen is lit up with:

DottyWotThe Fantasia Four

or

 It's Not Easy Being Green...Goblin

or

Beauty & The Apocalypse Beast

or

The Hulk IV: Nightmare at Pooh Corner.

To win one of two WotWots Funvertible Plush toys that I have to give away to lucky commenters (I have a pink DottyWot and a blue SpottyWot), just tell me what would be your biggest dream/nightmare melding of Disney and comicbook characters would be...

(As always comments that make me laugh are looked upon more favourably...)

Scray creature that comes to mind: The wicked queen from Snow white with spider man powers - imagine what she could have gotten up to with majic & the ability to tie people up in a web. The story could have gone so much worse.
