TV gives you cancer and embarrassing pics of your family

Last updated 11:06 13/01/2010

monkeyOpened the paper this morning to discover to my amazement (and mild embarrassment) my baby and my father featuring on the front page.

I've already been accused of trying to turn the paper into "The Agnew Press".

I'd just like to say I had nothing to do with the front page pic.

I hardly think it's responsible grandparenting to use your offspring's offspring for your own media purposes but if you're going to use the cutest wee boy in the world at least get a shot of his face - not just the back of his head. Are we trying to sell papers or what?!

Here's a link to the story and pic, in case you're unlucky enough not to get The Press in your area.

Not only does the wider circulation now know how messy my parents' TV room is (largely thanks to various grandchildren who seem to like it that way) they also know where the last Santa Bear in existence lives. Let's hope the 'rents don't suffer a break-in by rabid teddy-bear collectors in the coming weeks.

I have to say my dad's argument that watching lots of telly doesn't necessarily make you at greater risk of cardio-vascular disease and cancer does look somewhat weaker from his position of a 40-year veteran of TV reviewing who has both heart trouble and leukaemia...

I'm just saying...

It's your son who likes playing with the jenga blocks. I'm just saying...

Considering he is often the epitomy of a cheeky monkey, the monkeyshines-themed image for the post is quite apt.

And of course your Dad was born in the year of the Monkey (as was I). Loved the photo and the back of Theos head is very cute too!

It was a good article though. The Overlord is clearly growing up fast.

Soon all your base will belong to us ... or him.
