A chair-tossing brawl erupted between professional boxer Floyd Mayweather and rap musician T.I. in a Las Vegas fast food restaurant in the wee hours of Sunday morning - perhaps not surprisingly, over a lady.

Mayweather was eating inside the Fatburger restaurant on the Vegas Strip when T.I. walked in and confronted him about some photos posted on Instagram.

Earlier in the day, T.I.'s wife, Tameka "Tiny" Harris posted a photo to the site of herself with Mayweather's teenage daughter.

Mayweather responded by telling T.I. to "control your bitch".

T.I. reportedly took a swing at Mayweather and then the chairs started to fly.

The pair apparently have a history of arguing over T.I.'s wife, who was also photographed at Mayweather's fight earlier this month.

Mayweather has since apologised for referring to Tiny as a bitch.

"I don't want to say that about Tiny," he said.

"So I do apologise to Tiny because she cool people. She never been disrespectful to me."

A Fatburger employee was reportedly slashed during the fight, but refused medical treatment and would not cooperate with investigating officers.

One Fatburger diner posted video of the Fatburger brawl on Instagram:
