Are Gwyneth and Chris back together?
Rumours are flying that the "consciously uncoupled" Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin might still be a couple after all.
The pair, married for 10 years, announced their separation just three months ago.
However Britain's Mirror reports that the couple are closer than ever.
"It's true they had problems but in the weirdest way this 'conscious uncoupling' situation has relieved the pressure on them," an apparent friend of the couple told the Mirror.
"Gwyneth had ground rules about not immediately dating, respecting each other, keeping things happy for their two children and communicating throughout but it seems to have acted as a wake-up call."
The friend told the Mirror the pair are still "amazingly lovey-dovey", and claims Paltrow still wears her ring - although in all her recent photographs, the ring appears to be missing.
The friend said: "They may have consciously uncoupled a few months ago - but they seem to be recoupling now. No one will be surprised if they get back together."
Paltrow, 41, and Martin, 37, are certainly still seen out and about together, and were photographed eating a meal at Malibu Farm in California and "giggling together like a romantic couple", according to The Daily Mail.
The Mirror reports the couple has been seen at a number of other restaurants near their home in Los Angeles recently.
Late last month TMZ's paparazzi tracked down Martin, and asked him if the famous couple were back together after being spotted together.
"We've got to hang out, you know?" the Coldplay frontman told the photographers, quickly followed up by saying he wasn't answering any questions.
The photographers apparently translated this as "we're back together" and offered their congratualtions. TMZ subsequently announced the pair are "maybe back together".
However it could be that Paltrow and Martin are simply spending time together for the sake of their children.
When they announced their 'conscious uncoupling' in March on Paltrow's website, Goop, the pair said they spent a full year figuring out what the best option was for them.
They said they decided separation was best, but added they would remain close for the sake of their "two incredibly wonderful children".
"We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been," the couple wrote.
They apparently remain so close that they still live together, according to E! Online.
"Chris hasn't moved out of their Brentwood house yet. They are both still living there and spending weekends together at their new house in Malibu," a source told E! Online.
"They both do a lot of business travel, and so there are times when one of them will have the house to themselves. But if they are both in town, they both stay there."
The source says it's all about keeping things as easy as possible for their children Apple, 10 and Moses, 8.
"They've tried to keep things as stable and consistent as possible for their kids. They spend a lot of time together as a family and haven't changed things since they announced they were splitting up.
"Other than taking off their wedding bands, they seem closer than ever."
