Taylor Swift, highest paid singer in the world right nowexcellent thrower of shade toward ex-boyfriends that did her wrong and writer of the kinds of love songs that are faintly destructive but so, so catchy has been busying herself with a new hobby of late - leaving lovely, big sisterly, life-affirming messages on the Instagram accounts of her fans.

As Buzzfeed reports, the sunshiney- star - who Lena Dunham's boyfriend Jack Antonoff described in an interview for New York Magazine this week as "a modern-day Joni Mitchell" -has made a lot of teenagers very happy of late.

Like when she did this

and the time she laughed at this person's joke:

And she's also basically your best friend who thinks all of your jokes are super funny.

It's her her favourite thing to do, and while other celebrities also like their fans photos, the engagement of Taylor Swift - whose rep confirmed to the Washington Post that she does run her own Instagram account - is next level.

While social media can be a bit of a trap when it comes to imagined proximity to your famous heroes, Swift's engagement with her fans is totally the right way to go about it.

Which is an important thing when you are a role model to a lot of young women. If more people took up Taylor Swift's MO of being kind, generous and supportive of other people then the world would be a better place. Hurrah for Taylor Swift.
