Katie Price is "devastated and disappointed" by husband Peter Andre’s decision to divorce her, and has fled the UK in tears.
The former glamour model - also known as Jordan - fled the UK just hours after it was announced the couple’s three-and-a-half year marriage was over.
Before leaving, she issued a statement saying: "Peter is the love of my life. We have children together and I am devastated and disappointed by Peter’s decision to separate and divorce me - as I married him for life.
"This is not what I want and the decision has been taken out of my hands."
Although the couple - who raise three children together - have been arguing for months, the final straw for Peter apparently came after he saw pictures of his wife drunkenly flirting with men in a UK nightclub during an evening out last week.
The 36-year-old singer has said of his estranged wife’s behaviour: "I’m not jealous of anybody until Katie is drunk.
"It makes our relationship vulnerable. From the moment she starts drinking I lose her and I don‘t get her back until the next morning.
"The devil gets inside her and she’s a nightmare. I trust her when she’s sober but I don’t trust her when she’s drinking."
Katie, 30, has taken the couple’s two children - Junior, three, and 23-month old Princess Tiaamii - with her, leaving Peter with Harvey, her six-year-old son from a previous relationship.
Speculation the couple’s relationship - which started when the pair appeared on British TV show I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here in January 2004 - was on the rocks has been rife for months, and the couple have been seen repeatedly rowing on their reality TV series Katie and Peter Stateside.
In one argument which centred on Katie always getting her own way, the busty beauty raged on camera to Peter: "You’re a f***ing knob. I’m the one making the money Peter. Of course I can have it how I want."
The stunned pop star retorted: "I hope you are proud of yourself. Stupid arrogant little cow. Stuck up diva. You’ve got an attitude problem."
Friends of the Mysterious Girl singer claim he is now planning to go to the US to relaunch his pop career.
