R&B star Chris Brown has denied leaking a series of nude photos allegedly of chart-topping popstar Rihanna.
The photos, which allegedly show Brown's ex-girlfriend nude and posing in a bathroom mirror, hit the internet last week.
In a statement sent to Access Hollywood, a representative said Brown had nothing to do with the photos.
"Perez Hilton is reporting that images circulating on the web which purport to be provocative photos of Rihanna were 'leaked' by Chris Brown," the statement said.
"This is both a false and defamatory statement. Chris has not released or 'leaked' any photos of Rihanna."
Of the photos, only two show a face, but they are distorted. The others reveal a naked body and backside but the woman's face is hidden from view.
The photos were reportedly taken at The London West Hollywood hotel, where Rihanna once stayed with her former boyfriend Chris Brown.
In one image, a woman who bears a resemblance to the singer takes a photo of her reflection in the bathroom mirror.
There is a message on the mirror which reads: "I love you Robyn. I miss you". Robyn is Rihanna's real first name.
Lawyers reportedly sent letters to websites displaying the photos asking them to remove "unauthorized photos purported to be Rihanna".
The scandal comes as Brown faces charges relating to an alleged assault on Rihanna earlier this year.
She suffered cuts, bruising and bites during the attack which shocked fans. The couple attempted to reconcile but have since split up.
