Some were at the memorial service. Others were watching it on television. Either way, celebrities took to Twitter to have their say on Michael Jackson's memorial service.
Here is what they had to say.
Ryan Seacrest: "We are the world ... tears in my eyes ... mj and lionel wrote one of the most powerful songs ever."
Perez Hilton: "Nooooo!!!!!!! Those kids should not be putting on a show right now. So wrong. They should not be speaking or on stage. So horrible."
DJ AM: "My tears have me glued to the tv watching :The Farewell... Had no idea I'd react like this. Nothing moves my soul like music... Nothing"
Nick Cannon: "A day of mourning. Here in the Staples Center, God is absolutely present"
P Diddy: "I'm at the memorial. RIP Michael Jackson."
Paula Abdul: "Remembering MJ and the true legend that he was and will live on to be..I'm taking some time to reflect today."

It was Michael's choice to shield his children from the public, especially those paparazzis who get in their way to take shots and sell them in tabloids and magazines, and top it with ridiculous stories. I totally respected him in that regard. Please do not judge the Jackson family, instead we should be grateful to them for allowing that public memorial. That message by Paris was very powerful - you could feel a great loss. If many of us fans of MJ have been grieving and affected by his death, how much more his children would feel? Please be considerate people....
Maybe just maybe that wee girl wanted to speak at Daddys funeral, how bout we all finally stop judging and let them be.
"Leave them alone "
i agree that it was the childrens choice to be there and i believe that Paris was in no way forced to say anything - Marlon Jackson didnt even seem to know she was going to coz before it he said over the mic that he thought Janet was going to say something and then she said no Paris wants to... it kinda strange coz i think the kids look a lot like Michael AFTER the plastic surgery...similar noses!! and also their eyes... anyway i think it was a great ceremony and i am so glad i got to see it. RIP Michael
Totally agree with #10...it's bad enough they have lost their son, brother and father and then have to grieve in front of millions of people. It's not their fault that Paris wanted to speak at her "Daddy's" funeral..If you watched it carefully, you can tell that while Marlon was speaking,Janet asked her something and she nodded...I'm guessing Janet was asking her if she wanted to speak...No one forced her to..that little girl was determined to say something.I'm so thankful that the Jackson family gave us the opportunity to witness such an amazing memorial service. RIP MJ.
Perez hilton is ridiculous. this is her dads funeral. what if she wanted to pay her respects to her father and his family. she was speaking from her heart, shes never been in the public eye before. having her say something and the two other children being there to celebrate their father is not putting on a show at all. they were there to show how much they loved him. shame on perez hilton for disrespecting them and their families decisions.
I got up early to watch the live coverage of Michael's Memorial, a celebration of his life. So much people were inspired my Michael and so many fans LIKE ME have been there for him forever..... and now we will be there for his family. Paris was a very brave girl going up on stage and saying those words to the whole world. I dont think it was staged, like some of you are saying. I truly think that she wanted to let the world know that Michael was the best father and that she loved him.
People like a few of you commenting on here... need to leave the children and the Jackson family alone. Let them now grieve and lets now say that Michael is free and is at peace.
My heart goes out to all his family, close friends and all the fans around the world. I love you all, lets be there for Michael's most important treasures his children and may we all know Michael for the loving and caring heart he had. AND of course the brillant things he accomplished in the musical world.
I hope you all read this and think twice of what you write about this musical genius that is Michael Jackson. He will never be replaced. RIP MICHAEL JACKSON. xxxxxxxx
Darren Hayes on Twitter said "heartbreaking. so necessary tho. cried bucket loads. so proud to see him receive so much respect."
who is perez hilton?
anyway, if any child wants to speak at their father's funeral then they have every right to.
they are family. end of story.

Nobody should ever question whether, or why, any child should or should not speak at thier father's memorial.
