Supermodel Heidi Klum and her husband Seal have welcomed their fourth child into the world, a girl they've called Lou Sulola Samuel.
Seal announced the news in a statement first reported by People.com, saying that their daughter was "beautiful beyond words".
"It's difficult to imagine loving another child as much as you love your existing children," he said.
"Anyone who has a family will tell you this. Where will one find that extra love? If you love your existing children with all of your heart, how then can one possibly find more heart with which to love another?"
"On Friday, October 9, 2009, at 7.46pm, the answer to this question came in the form of our fourth child and second daughter. Lou Sulola Samuel was born, and from the moment she looked into both of our eyes, it was endless love at first sight.
"She is beautiful beyond words and we are happy that she chose us to watch her grow over the coming years."
The pair already have three children: Johan, two, Henry, four, and Leni, five.

It's better than Apple, Fifitrixiebelle, peaches, scout and many other odd ball names celebrities come up with!
#19, Jia is a Chinese name and is perfectly legitimate. If I jeer at people who make up names with no respect for etymology or phonics, or indeed common sense, it's got nothing to do with what I am called myself, but plenty to do with how idiotic those people are.
I'm so envious of Seal people could mistake me for a putting surface. He seems to be a man with it all. A world-class voice and a very talented songwriter, critically acclaimed, a thoroughly beautiful and intelligent super-model wife and gorgeous children all of whom he seems to adore (and why not?). And probably enough money to never have to worry about finances for himself or his family ever. I've also noticed that he performs very well in interview situations befitting a man of his compassion and intellect.
How is it that some people seem to manage to organise their lives so brilliantly? I guess I must be a glass-half-empty type of person because while I respect his work and his apparent over-acheivements in every area of life he tends to just serve as a reminder to me about how much of a balls-up I have made of my own...
Jia #11
with a name like Jia I suppose it should come as no surprise you jeer at others.
Lou is a pretty name, spesh for a girl. None of this "Epiphine" or "Shyanne" or "sharni" crap.
You are all so concerned with what people think and arguing with each other and one anothers comments.. be happy Heidi and Seal have had a beautiful new baby stop been so worried about names and just smile for once..
Seal seems a fantastic role model for adoptive/step fathers everywhere. They seem a very happy, beautiful, successful, fun loving family with parents that seem to be very much in love.
Obviously you do care Kate #13 - or your wouldn't have read the story! I love it that Heidi and Seal are such down to earth celebs - there are no false pretenses there - just two people who love each other and their kid!

Wouldn't Lou and Samuel be boys' names though? I fear this is another experimentation on names. The celebrity father of the unfortunate 'Apple' argued that celebrities are different to the normal folk and so celebrities' children are also different. I agree, but can't the child itself prove that they are special, rather than their name be perculiar?
