Peter Andre has reportedly been threatened by Katie Price's new boyfriend.
The Behind Closed Doors singer apparently left stunned when Alex Reid unleashed a torrent of abuse after Peter rang Katie's mobile phone and asked to speak to the three children he raises with the glamour model.
Alex is quoted as saying: "I'm the man of the house now! I'll come round and sort you out."
Peter, 36, phoned Katie, 31, to discuss a time to pick up the children - Harvey, seven, Junior, four, and two-year-old Princess Tiaamii - as he couldn't get through to their nanny.
Katie reportedly didn't want to talk to him, so asked her cage-fighter lover, who has been revealed to be a cross-dresser, to answer the phone.
As Alex began shouting at Peter, the singer replied: "Look mate, there's a lot of people who want to break your legs."
It is then that Alex threatened Peter, leaving him fearing for his safety.
A source said: "Peter was a bit worried about how the call ended. No-one wants a cage fighter issuing threats like that."
Peter is also said to be annoyed after Alex gave an interview claiming he has grown close to Junior.
Alex said: "I love the kids, and that's so scary in a new relationship. Junior did actually once call me 'dad'. I said, 'No, I'm not daddy, I'm Alex.' As much as I'd love to be his father, he has a dad."
A source explained: "Peter has been at boiling point all week after Alex spoke so lovingly about his son. Junior is everything to him, as are the other kids. It has devastated Pete to read what Alex said this week."
