Lindsay Lohan's mother fears "time is running out" for the actress.
Dina Lohan - who has already expressed her fears her daughter may take her own life and has been cutting herself - told ex-husband Michael Lohan how the 'Mean Girls' had started drinking again and was concerned at what the alcohol would do to her.
She said in a leaked phone call posted on website Radar Online: "Time is running out with this kid. I know I'm her mother and I feel it and I'm scared.
"She'll open up to you but it's nothing compared to what's going on with this kid. And don't tell her I told you anything or try to weasel s**t out of her. . . she'll tell you when she's ready to talk about s**t. Right now all I know is she's starting to drink and that's bad."
The phone call was made in 2008 and the tape, along with many others, have been leaked by Michael, much to Dina's fury.
In other tapes, Dina told Michael - who is estranged from Lindsay - how the 23-year-old actress had been cutting herself as her life spirals more and more out of control.
She said: "Her cutting herself and hurting herself? Yeah, it's bad Michael, it's bad."
Michael recently spoke of his fears for his daughter, saying she has an addiction to prescription drugs which he fears will kill her.
He said: "I want my daughter off prescription medication. She never needed it in her life. . . I'm not going to watch my daughter die. Hate me now, but you love me more later because I'm gonna turn her life around."
