The notorious ladies' man split up with Miller in 2005 and at the end of last year had a fling with Christchurch-born Samantha Burke.

In October, a paternity test proved Burke's three-month-old daughter was Law's – news which broke just as the actor was rekindling his friendship with Miller.

But the actress doesn't seem to have been frightened off by the Closer star's ever-growing family, as a romance has reportedly developed.

Law has even confided in Sadie Frost, mother of his three older children, that he is serious about the 27-year-old.

"Jude has told Sadie that Sienna is back in his life," a friend told British media.

"Sadie is calm about it. Her only concern, as ever, is their children. She doesn't want any more shocks for them."

Law and Miller first hooked up on 2004 movie Alfie – and got engaged on Christmas Day of that year.

Seven months later the British actor admitted he'd had an affair with his children's nanny.

In the past few years Miller has had relationships with actor Rhys Ifans and billionaire dad-of-four Balthazar Getty, while Law's most famous romance has been with Burke – who claims they dated for six weeks after meeting in New York at the end of 2008.

Miller and Law are believed to have become close in recent weeks after both appeared in theatre in the same city.

While the British actor is starring in Hamlet on Broadway, Miller is also in Manhattan – appearing in After Miss Julie with Law's best friend Johnny Lee Miller.

She is believed to have cooked dinner for her former fiance on several occasions and the smiling couple were seen emerging from his New York flat with huge grins on their faces this week.

Last weekend they spent the US festival of Thanksgiving having a late night romantic Italian dinner, where they drank a $480 bottle of wine, ate pizza and shared a lingering kiss.

"Johnny originally brought them back together as friends," the friend continued.

"But they have never stopped caring about each other and that has quickly become clear.

"They are taking things incredibly slowly but they are getting back together again.

"Both are very wary of relationships."

Burke gave birth to Sophia, a half sister to Law's other kids Rafferty, Iris and Rudy, on September 22.

It is said that Law was disgusted at the model's decision to sell the first pictures of the baby in a $425,000 magazine deal – and has yet to meet his youngest child.
