Scarlett Johansson will spend New Year's Eve eating pizza and watching 'The Twilight Zone'.
The 25-year-old actress - who is married to actor Ryan Reynolds - will see in 2010 with a take away, champagne and a marathon viewing session of the cult show because of work commitments.
"We're both working on New Year's Day anyway. So, we won't do much," she said.
"You know, pizza would be nice, a little champagne. Maybe watch the 'Twilight Zone' marathon. That's always a favourite for me."
The screen beauty is "over" big celebratory parties and much prefers a quiet night in these days.
She laughed: "Going from one party to the next and surfing to find the right thing, and being in a taxicab when the clock strikes - I'm so over that stuff. At the ripe old age of 25.
"I have the most fun when I'm surrounded by people I love in one place that's comfortable and we can hear each other. You can play card games, watch movies, I'm happy."
Peter Andre is looking forward to a fresh start in 2010.
The singer - who has had a turbulent 2009 following his split from Katie Price, the mother of his two children - can't wait for the New Year when he hits the road and releases his new fragrance for men.
He said: "I'm obviously doing my 36-date-tour, which is completely sold out. I'm so excited about it.
"And I've got a male fragrance and other male-grooming products coming out. It will be my busiest year to date."
Peter added: "I'll be doing more TV work as well. I love doing TV."
Discussing his tour, Peter has been working with a big choreographer who has collaborated with Britney Spears and Michael Jackson in the past.
He said: "It's going to be a proper show. I really can't wait to meet all my fans. I love touring and seeing everyone."
Peter, 36, will also be looking for love in 2010.
He revealed: "I really do think I will be with someone this time next year. But I think it will happen very slowly."
Billie Joe Armstrong has resolved to give up drugs.
The Green Day star – who was arrested by police in January 2003 for drinking and driving after being pulled over for speeding – admits he now feels too old to cope with the effects of consuming illegal substances.
The 37-year-old rocker said: "What will I never do again? Methamphetamine. I'd rather be huffing gas than sticking speed up my nose.
"I can't do acid anymore, either. I would end up naked on top of the building, sucking my thumb and trying to find a happy place if I was ever to drop acid again."
Despite his vow, Billie Joe insists he isn’t worried about getting older and is looking forward to turning 40 in a few years time.
He said: "I don’t mind getting older. I wouldn’t trade my future with anybody else’s."
Kate Moss was forced to delay her holiday because she got so drunk.
The supermodel - who was due to welcome in the New Year in Thailand - had to postpone the trip because she overindulged in food and champagne celebrating Christmas with boyfriend Jamie Hince and her daughter Lila Grace, seven.
A source said: "Kate goes away every New Year and booked this year's trip over four months ago. Unfortunately she rather overindulged during the festive period, stuffing herself with turkey and all the trimmings, alcohol and Christmas pudding.
"After drinking champagne from 10am onwards, she felt really ill all afternoon. Jamie told Kate in no uncertain terms that she would not be flying anywhere."
Kate was unable to get a refund on the four first class flights she had paid for, as well as two nights unused accommodation, but was reportedly planning to fly out to Thailand last night (29.12.09), three days later than planned.
The source added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Kate was devastated and only cheered up when Jamie promised they'd still go away.
"Annoyingly, she can't get a refund, so after paying for more flights for her family, she has been joking she has a £20, 000 hangover. All things considered she has taken it really well."
Cheryl Cole is going to have a good rest over the festive period.
The Girls Aloud star has had a busy year after judging UK TV talent show ‘The X Factor’ and launching a successful solo career and is keen to take some time off after getting Christmas out of the way.
Cheryl - who is married to England soccer player Ashley Cole – said: "I just want some time off! I want time with my family and time with my dogs, just a rest I suppose. Somewhere sunny!"
In 2010, Cheryl is planning to try and launch her solo pop career in the US.
The 26-year-old singer met with record label executives in Los Angeles earlier this year and intends to top the charts Stateside with the help of fellow ‘X Factor’ judge Simon Cowell.
A source said: "Simon is one of the biggest star-makers of his generation, and if you've got him in your corner, you are in very good standing."
Rihanna also said she’d be happy for Cheryl to support her on tour in America.
The ‘Russian Roulette’ singer said: "Cheryl is cute and incredible. I think I could help break her in the US. She’d wow them – I’d love to have her on tour in America."
Amy Adams refuses to make New Year’s resolutions.
The ‘Doubt’ actress – who is expecting her first child with fiance Darren Le Gallo – says she won’t make any promises to herself when she welcomes in 2010.
"I really haven’t set any. I think what I came up with was to have no regrets because usually I set a resolution and I don’t really follow through and then I have regrets," she said.
"So this year, maybe no resolution. That’s my resolution – to roll with it. I think this will be my year of just rolling with it."
Amy also admitted she is slightly nervous about becoming a first-time mother but is looking forward to meeting her new addition.
She said: "I feel great. I’m feeling really good. Excited, nervous – but mostly excited."
She has previously said she is "too impatient" to wait for her baby to be born before finding out whether she's having a boy or a girl.
She said: "I'm too impatient to wait for a surprise. We'll probably find out. I thought about waiting and I just don't think that's really my personality. It's not about planning a nursery, it's more about I just want to know. I want to be able to relate in that way. That's what works for me, but I totally believe in whatever works for the individual."
Katherine Jenkins is going to spend New Year's Eve with her family.
The singer is spending Christmas in Australia and is then jetting back to her hometown in Wales to see in 2010 with a big party.
She said: "I'm going to be in Australia for some of December, but then I'm going back home to Neath for a big family knees-up. This year has been so busy that I haven't had any time to relax or see the family. I can't wait."
Once the festive season is over, Katherine is going to the US to try and break the American charts.
She added: "I made my album in Los Angeles earlier in the year and I'm looking forward to going back. As soon as Christmas and New Year is over, I'll be going back and forward to America."
Thoughts on 2009
Jay-Z feels "fantastic" since turning 40.
The '99 Problems' rapper - whose latest 'Blueprint 3' album topped the US charts, giving him more number one LPs than any other solo artist - reaches the landmark age last December and insists he is happy with it because his career is going so well.
He said: "I feel fantastic about turning 40, I'm in a great place, got a fantastic album, my eleventh number one which beats Elvis, so I'm feeling like the king of pop."
Despite his massive success, the star - who is married to Beyonce Knowles - insists he manages to stay grounded, thanks to the attitudes of his family.
He added: "When people get success, the often start getting rid of their immediate circle who knew them to surround themselves with yes men and women and they get lost.I have great friends around to keep me grounded, fame is a drug and your feet can get lifted off the ground but I try to stay centred and whenever I start getting big headed, they stop me.
"My sisters act like I work for them, which is great but I pretty much keep myself in check."
Jay-Z - whose real name is Shawn Carter - also admitted he refuses to let his fame get in the way of leading a normal life.
He said: "When you live your life in the spotlight people tend to think our success or who you are is not a real thing, I like people to know I am a real person. I just happen to have a talent for making music and a work ethic to match it.
"I try to approach everyday life - no matter what happens, whether there are 100 photographers or not - as normal. I still go out to eat and eat outside at places, no problem. Sometimes I snap but for the most part I'm cool with it, as long as people don't invade your personal space I understand it comes with the business, it's not a big bother."
Rihanna's favourite artist of 2009 is Lady Gaga.
The 'Russian Roulette' singer - who endured a turbulent year after being assaulted by her now ex-boyfriend Chris Brown in February - was amazed by Lady Gaga's continuous stream of hits over the year.
Rihanna said: "Lady Gaga has a very bold, fearless image and, I have to say, I have so much respect for original artists who aren't afraid to do what they do. That's what I respect the most. She's awesome."
The 21-year-old singer recently admitted 2009 had been the toughest year of her life because of the attack, which left her with cuts and bruises and emotionally traumatised.
But Rihanna hoped one good thing to come out of the incident was that her fans would be able to see that no one's life is perfect.
She said: "Before, young girls thought my life was perfect. Now they realise it's not. Nobody's perfect. I'm living the same human life that they are, just with a more public career.
"The assault came at the end of an incredible year for me, career-wise. Now I kind of look back on it as the beginning of a new era, almost like it was a wake-up call for me. It was a massive turning point for me in my life."
