David Duchovny claims he had his first erotic experience when he was just six years old.

The X Files actor - who was treated for sex addiction last year - admits he had such a huge crush on his first grade teacher he used to make up excuses so she could touch him.

He told German TV channel Tele 5: "I always ran around extra wildly, so that she had to catch and grab me."

David believes his sexual appetite grew to such extreme levels because lovemaking is a form of escapism for him.

He said: "Sex, to me, means I can forget myself. It's just the moment. I heard that skiing is even better than sex. It could be possible - but I'm not a skier."

However, the 49-year-old star is fully aware his obsession with sex almost destroyed his marriage to wife Tea Leoni, the mother of his two children, Madelaine, 10, and seven-year-old Kyd.

He said: "My family and I have had a very hard year. Today I'm as happy as ever. I'm ultimately grateful for all the difficulties. My wife and I have gone through that together and now we are even stronger."
