Anna Paquin was more excited about passing her driving test than being nominated for a Golden Globe award.
The True Blood star - who is up for the Best Actress in a Television Drama honour - admits she's thrilled to be acknowledged for her work but is happier that she now has the freedom to drive herself about.
She said: "I'm oddly more excited about the driver's licence. I'm totally the two-handed driver, and I'm not very good at parallel parking."
The awards take place on Sunday but Anna admits she doesn't get too excited about attending glittering ceremonies.
Anna - who won the same award at last year's show and was also the recipient of the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress when she was just 11 - said: "It's probably not any different than any other day."
Anna recently admitted audiences find it "weird" when she gets nude on screen because she first found fame as an actress when she was still a child.
The 27-year-old star said: "It's been a gradual evolution for me. It's probably weird for people to watch it and if they have this image of me as a sweet little child, but it's not weird for me."
