New Zealand actress Anna Paquin refused to answer personal questions about her love life at the Golden Globe Awards.
Paquin, who missed out on a second trophy for best actress in a television series at the ceremony, was asked a series of intimate questions by Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet.
Her fiance Stephen Moyer, who she met on the set of True Blood, admitted to Seacrest the pair had gotten engaged in Hawaii and that it was a "surprise".
But when asked when the first fell in love, Paquin shut up shop.
"At what point did you realise there was more than just 'set chemistry?' Right away, or did it take a while?" asked the E! host.
"No comment," said Paquin. "You're really persistent, and so am I ... I'm really stubborn. Not telling ya."
Paquin was nominated for her role as Sookie Stackhouse in HBO's vampire drama - which she won the Globe for last year.
The award at the 67th Globes ceremony held in Beverly Hills went to Julianna Marguiles for her role in The Good Wife.
True Blood was also nominated for best television series (drama), but missed out to Mad Men.

I saw that interview & thought it was wierd... they've talked so openly about it before. Most everyone knows they've been dating since the pilot wrapped shooting... why the sudden hush hush???
Same. She wuz robbed, and then had to stand still while this no-talent oik asks her about rumpy pumpy? Would prefer not to know what they get up to and certainly support her right to tell him to go interview himself...Anna P great talent, love that she hasn;t lost her Kiwi accent and it doesn't hurt that she's VERY hot!!!
Yeah good on her. If she doesn't want to talk about her love life why should she? I'm guessing she'll be offered a pretty penny soon to reveal the details to the mags.
