Hugh Hefner is devastated to be in the running for a Razzie Award.
The nominations of the 30th annual awards were announced earlier this week. The ceremony celebrates the worst films of the year, with Hugh securing a nod for his portrayal of himself in sex comedy Miss March. The Playboy mogul is horrified at the dubious honour, insisting he looked dashing on screen.
"I've been nominated for a Razzie for my portrayal of Hugh Hefner in Miss March. Maybe I didn't understand the character ;) (sic)," he wrote on his Twitter page.
Hugh is nominated for Worst Supporting Actor, and will battle it out against Billy Ray Cyrus for Hannah Montana: The Movie, Robert Pattinson in New Moon, Jorma Taccone for Land of the Lost and Marlon Wayans in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.
To add to his woe, Hugh has been suffering from flu this week. He has kept his fans constantly updated with his symptoms, adding his 23-year-old girlfriend Crystal Harris has been nursing him back to health.
"I think I have a touch of what Crystal had on the weekend. It wasn't food poisoning, it was stomach flu. Spent the day in bed recovering from 24-hour-flu with my favorite nurses, Crystal & Charlie," he wrote.
