Rihanna got a lap dance from a "little person" at her 22nd birthday party.

The singer's rumoured boyfriend, baseball player Matt Kemp, laid on a lavish surprise party for her in Phoenix, Arizona over the weekend. The night culminated with Rihanna getting a raunchy dance from a surprise guest - a female stripper who was less than 4ft tall.

"It was a female little person," a source at the event told People magazine. "She thought it was funny!"

Although the exact details of the event remain unclear, a picture showing Rihanna reclining on a chair in the middle of the room while the dancer writhes around her has emerged.

"Bridget the Midget: All the stripper you'd need in one bite-size package," gossip blogger Perez Hilton reports.

Matt spent more than a month planning the soiree, even though Rihanna denies the pair are anything more that "friends".

"There was a photo booth customised specifically for the party and an Ace of Spades toast upon Rihanna's entrance to the room," a source said. "She was stunned! It was so sweet and she was really surprised. She looked just beautiful."

Guests sang Happy Birthday to the star, with Matt bringing out a cake which was decorated with copies of Rihanna's tattoos.
