Kendra Wilkinson thought she was going to die after she overdosed on cocaine.
The former Playboy model got hooked on the drug in her teens and after one particularly heavy session Kendra - who had left home and was living with a boyfriend while still at high school - was left in a dire state.
Discussing the harrowing ordeal in her 'E! True Hollywood Story' TV documentary, the 24-year-old star said: "I was bleeding from every hole in my body and I really thought I was going to die that night. But you know what, I survived, and I swear it was a couple of days after that that I had an epiphany. I just stopped drugs, stopped smoking cigarettes, stopped everything and went home."
Kendra was "about 13" when she first tried cocaine and by 15 she was regularly abusing several drugs and started to feel "suicidal".
She recalled: "All of a sudden my friends broke out this white stuff. I started feeling pretty good. That was the start of my drug days."
When Kendra was 15, her mother Patti made the tough decision to send her daughter to a psychiatric facility for two weeks in a bid to get her off drugs, but it didn't work.
The blonde beauty - who now has a three-month-old son Hank Randall Baskett with her husband, American footballer Hank Baskett - said: "It was crazy in that place. We didn't see daylight. We weren't allowed outside. It was basically a jail, but it was a hospital. But it did not change me at all. I think it made me worse because in my heart I didn't want to change. People were forcing me, and that's something that does not work with me."
It was after her brush with death Kendra decided to turn her life around, taking up sports, getting a job and eventually being noticed by Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner after posing for a series of sexy photos which ended up on a fax machine in the Playboy Mansion.
