Britain's Prince Harry is being lined up to appear on a UK talk show.
The 25-year-old royal is set to open up on a new programme on channel ITV, which will be hosted by famed broadcaster Jonathan Ross.
The interview will mark the start of Ross' new show for the station, and bosses think the prince will be the perfect choice to kick start it.
If the interview goes ahead, Ross will be banned from asking the royal about his personal life. His on/off romance with Chelsy Davy will not be up for discussion, and Ross has been told he must steer clear of using crude language.
"Clearly Jonathan is very excited about this. He knows what's at stake here. The first show is going to be very special," a source told British newspaper The Daily Star. "Prince Harry will be the only guest. There was no way we were having him play second fiddle to a television celebrity."
Prince Harry is expected to finalise the terms of his appearance within the next few weeks. Although Ross has agreed to steer clear of questioning him about his personal life, it is thought he might probe him about other members of the royal family such as his brother Prince William.
Harry's parents Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana both famously gave tell-all TV interviews. Charles admitted committing adultery with his now wife Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall, while Diana also discussed the marriage on a televised programme.
Ross' new show will begin airing before Christmas.
