Snoop Dogg's mother believes he will become a "rapper for God" before long.
Beverly Broadus Green is a minister at Golgotha Trinity Baptist Church in California, and is extremely proud of her hip-hop star son. Although he has had brushes with the law in the past, Beverly is convinced her son is meant to spread the word of God. He had a religious upbringing, and she thinks it's only a matter of time before he realises his true calling.
"I recently told Snoop he'd become a preacher, a rapper for God. It made him laugh, but I think he'd be a wonderful preacher," she told National Enquirer. "Snoop went to church with me every Sunday from the time he was eight until he was 18. He was a tenor in the church choir, and he has a great understanding of the Bible. In fact, he can quote the Bible better than most preachers! I'm convinced he's going to get a call from God soon."
Snoop and his mother are close, but don't always get to spend a lot of time together due to his busy work schedule. When they do meet up the 38-year-old likes his mom to cook for him, and he still enjoys the meals she made him as a child.
"He likes fried chicken wings and what he likes to call 'cheese and macaroni' because I use so much cheese," Beverly laughed.
