Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr are struggling to choose a name for their new baby.

The first-time parents welcomed a son into the world last Thursday after the supermodel gave birth in Los Angeles.

Orlando and Miranda - who married in July last year - are thrilled with the new arrival and are enjoying every moment of parenthood so far.

However, even though the couple have spent nearly a week with the baby, they still can't decide on a name.

"They are both absolutely ecstatic. I am beyond happy," Orlando's mother Sonia revealed to British newspaper The Daily Mirror.

"They have a list of names and he tells me they are struggling to choose one."

Proud new father Orlando, 33, has been overheard boasting about the baby outside the hospital. Miranda is also doing "very well" after the birth of her son - who tipped the scales at an impressive 10lbs.

The 27-year-old Victoria's Secret beauty has made no secret of her desire to start a family with Orlando.

"I have always been very open about wanting to be a mother one day. And I've always thought Orlando would be a great dad," she said. "I've always wanted kids."
