Actor Shia LaBeouf claims he hooked up with Megan Fox during the filming of the first two Transformers movies.
LaBeouf - currently promoting Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon, which does not star Fox - has given an interview to a magazine in which he said there was a reason you could see chemistry between the pair in the two films.
Details magazine says it asked LaBeouf if he had "hooked up" with Fox, a 25-year-old sex symbol, and the actor nodded.
"Look, you're on the set for six months with someone who's rooting to be attracted to you and you're rooting to be attracted to them," LaBeouf told the magazine.
"I never understood the separation of work and life in that situation. But the time I spent with Megan was our own thing, and I think you can see the chemistry on-screen," he said.
LaBeouf was asked by Details if, at the time he and Fox were together, she was in a relationship with her then boyfriend and now husband Brian Austin Green.
"I don't know," LaBeouf said, repeating the answer several times. A representative for Fox declined comment to Reuters.
Fox starred in the 2007 Transformers and the 2009 sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, but she was dropped from the franchise for the third film and replaced by former lingerie model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
Whiteley recently said she had a tough time keeping her hands off LaBeouf during filming.
'It was tough. I mean I really had to tie myself into my trailer. I really had to restrain myself for seven months of shooting,' she joked on Chelsea Handler's US chat show.
"It was really tough for me. I had to wear a chastity belt and everything, but I made it through."
