Balthazar Getty has met with his wife for the first time since his alleged affair with Sienna Miller.
The actor met for talks with estranged spouse Rosetta at the couple’s marital home in Los Angeles on Saturday Balthazar, 33, said: "I can’t comment. When I’m ready I’ll issue a statement. It’s because of the children."
Rosetta, 38, and Balthazar have four children - Cassius, eight, Grace, seven, four-year-old Violet and June, 10 months - and have been married for eight years.
A source close to Rosetta said: "She thinks the bond she has with him and their kids is stronger than anything Sienna can offer. Despite reports to the contrary, the door is still wide open for a reconciliation."
Balthazar, who has spent the last week living in a hotel, is said to have sent his wife a string of emails telling her how much he loves her.
Meanwhile, Sienna is devastated that Balthazar wants to save his marriage and is planning to fly to Los Angeles to meet with him.
The Factory Girl actress - who was pictured last month frolicking with Balthazar topless on a beach and yacht, with one shot showing her with her legs wrapped around him - reportedly had "no idea" he was seeing his wife this weekend.
After news of Balthazar’s affair with Sienna was made public, he issued a statement saying: "The breakdown of a marriage is a very difficult and painful experience especially when children are involved.
"In light of the fact that many pictures have surfaced in print and on the internet which has caused myself and my family great embarrassment, I felt it necessary to at least acknowledge publicly that yes indeed my wife and I have separated and I will not be commenting any further."
