Ke$ha up for two Peta awards
Ke$ha, Justin Bieber and Lea Michelle have all been nominated for Libby awards.
The stars have been recognised by Peta for their help in raising awareness about the cruel treatment of animals in the past year.
They will go up against one another in various categories at this year's Libby (short for liberation) awards, which is run by Peta's youth division peta2.
Ke$ha is in the running for two categories, Best peta2 Ad and the Most Animal-Friendly Pop/Hip-Hop Artist. She appeared in an advertising campaign against the slaughter of Canadian seals earlier this year.
For the Most Animal-Friendly Pop/Hip-Hop Artist award she will go up against teen superstar Justin who appeared in a campaign at the beginning of the year. Rappers k-os and Waka Flocka Flame are also in the running for the award.
Glee star Lea spoke out against the mistreatment of carriage horses for the charity. She will battle with Jackass star Steve-O, Cobra Starship's Gabe Saporta, and Victorious actress Daniella Monet for the Top Animal-Friendly Celebrity prize.
There is also a category for Most Animal-Friendly Band. The Ready Set, Tokio Hotel, Hellogoodbye and the Swellers are all preparing to face off against one another.
"Our nominees have all worked hard to shine their spotlights on a variety of important animal issues," peta2 Division Manager Marta Holmberg said in a statement.
"As our accomplished stars demonstrate, compassion isn't just a virtue - it's also a road to success."
The winners will be decided by both peta2 and fan votes. Voting ends on December 23 and the victors will be announced on January 17.
