Auckland-based media celebrities Mike Hosking and Kate Hawkesby have tied the knot.
The couple wed in front of around 40 guests at a ceremony at Huka Lodge in Taupo on Wednesday.
Earlier this week, there were rumours the pair were set to tie the knot at Hawkesby's father's Waiheke Island property.
The wedding had been kept a tightly guarded secret with all guests, reportedly including Hosking's boss Dallas Gurney, sworn to secrecy. A source said all guests "had to sign confidentiality agreements - most likely due to their magazine deal".
When contacted earlier in the week Hawkesby refused to commment.
The pair live with their blended family of five children, and have been together for several years. They initially kept their relationship under wraps, before being increasingly photographed in public together in 2008.
Hosking proposed in Melbourne in July 2010, with Hawkesby later telling a women's magazine that she felt bad for him given how shy he was. He reportedly got down on bended knee as a crowd gathered.
"It was important for me that for once, I did this out in the open," Hosking told the NZ Woman's Weekly. "Anyone can propose in private, but I wanted to make this gesture for Katie."
Woman's Day magazine has exclusive rights to publish photographs of the wedding. It is set to hit the news stands tomorrow.
