Stephen Moyer has confirmed that he and wife, Kiwi actress Anna Paquin, are expecting twins.

The pair both appear on vampire TV show True Blood and their co-star Sam Trammell let slip the news last month.

"We sent them a special gift. It's so interesting that True Blood has become, like, the 'twins' show," he told Us Weekly. Sam has 11-month-old twin sons with his partner Missy Yager.

But now Moyer has officially revealed the double joy.

"I love my kids beyond anything," the 42-year-old told the publication.

"They're the best things ever, and having two more is just going to be even more crazy, but that's cool."

Moyer has two children from previous relationships; Billy and Lilac.

Co-star Michael McMillian added that he was very "impressed" with how Paquin was dealing with filming while pregnant.

"The show is taking great care of her, and I think she's probably really happy that she has some time off now to focus on what's to come," he shared.

"Stephen is already a terrific father and they make an amazing couple. Anna is excited, as any expectant mom is. I think they're going to be pretty cool parents."
