Sofía Vergara's on-off relationship with her fiancé is reportedly "exactly how it was before".

The 40-year-old Modern Family star recently got engaged to boyfriend Nick Loeb during a family vacation in Mexico to celebrate her milestone birthday.

Although Vergara and Loeb are madly in love with one another, the pair are finding it difficult to merge their disparate lifestyles.

Their wedding is rumoured to be on hold for the time being.

"They're crazy about each other, but their relationship is exactly how it was before-off and on," a source told Life & Style magazine.

Apparently the pair can't even decide on which American coast to establish a family residence together.

"Sofía's mainly in LA, and Nick wants a place with his bros in New York," the source revealed.

This marriage will be the second for the fiery actress who has a 20-year-old son, Manolo, from her first union with Joe Gonzalez.
