Amy Poehler and Will Arnett have separated after nine years of marriage, the couple's representatives confirm.

The two comedians wed in August 2003 and have recently decided to call their relationship quits.

Poehler and Arnett are parents to two children, sons Archie, three, and Abel, two.

Although the pair have given up on their romance, Poehler and Arnett are reportedly cooperating with each other.

"It's very amicable," a source told Us Weekly magazine.

Arnett has spoken previously about the dynamics in his and Poehler's former family home.

He said his now estranged wife liked to take charge when it came to making final calls.

"She thinks she's the boss, but I'm the boss," he joked in an interview with Redbook last year.

"Part of being the boss is allowing others to think they're the boss, which is what I do."

This was Poehler's first marriage. Will was previously wed to actress Penelope Ann Miller, but they divorced after one year of marriage in 1995.

It is unknown whether or not the Poehler and Arnett are both still occupying the family home.
